Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service specialty and emergency veterinary hospital located in Carlsbad, California. They are currently seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team, providing advanced surgical care in a multi-specialty and emergency context.
Hospital Hours
The facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Surgeon will perform advanced surgical procedures for companion animals as part of a multidisciplinary team. At the facility, surgical services include bone and joint surgery, brain and spinal surgery, minimally-invasive surgery, emergency surgery, reconstructive surgery and comprehensive peri-operative monitoring. The role involves clinical excellence, collaboration with referral teams and delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a broad range of specialty and emergency services including surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, diagnostic imaging/radiology, medical oncology, ophthalmology, radiation oncology and critical care. The facility is equipped to handle complex cases, referrals and around-the-clock emergency care, making it a leader in advanced veterinary medicine.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
