Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital specializing in the care of cats and dogs, currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Oncologist. This is an exciting opportunity for a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in Oncology, or a residency-trained veterinarian with a practice limited to oncology, to join a dedicated team within a multi-specialty environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm. It is closed on Sundays. Specific doctor hours are not detailed, but the position does not mention after-hours or weekend coverage requirements, implying a consistent daytime schedule aligned with the hospital’s business hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing excellent medicine within the hospital’s oncology services. The role requires a veterinary oncologist who is either a Diplomate of the ACVIM (Oncology) or a residency-trained professional focused exclusively on oncology. This position is designed for experienced candidates only, and the clinical focus is on delivering high-quality cancer care in a collaborative, specialty-driven setting.

Practice Details
The hospital features modern diagnostic and surgical equipment and will soon expand into a larger, 8,000-square-foot facility in 2025. The expansion will include an additional operating room, six more exam rooms, a dedicated CT room, and in-house lab upgrades. The existing state-of-the-art facility includes a stand-alone specialty center with services in advanced Surgery, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Oncology, Rehabilitation, Behavior, and Theriogenology, providing a comprehensive and collaborative clinical environment.

Team
The practice is staffed with six DVMs and supported by a tenured, experienced team. The hospital fosters a collaborative environment with specialists across multiple disciplines, supporting a team-oriented approach to patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
