Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Medical Oncologist on either a full-time or part-time basis. This 24/7 multi-specialty hospital provides care for dogs, cats, avians, and exotics and is looking for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Medical Oncologist to join its growing team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Medical Oncologist, you will diagnose and treat patients with cancer while developing individualized treatment plans to improve both quality and length of life. You will collaborate closely with family veterinarians and a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including anesthesiologists, internal medicine specialists, and radiologists, to deliver comprehensive oncology care. Responsibilities include providing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, palliative care, metastasis evaluation, clinical studies, electrochemotherapy, and collaborating on surgical and radiation therapy treatment plans where appropriate. This opportunity is suited to experienced veterinarians who are board-certified or residency-trained.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and offers a collaborative specialty environment supported by advanced technology and experienced clinical leadership. Oncology services include chemotherapy, clinical studies evaluating novel cancer therapies, immunotherapy, metastasis evaluation (staging), palliative therapy for pain management, surgery to remove cancerous cells and tumors, and electrochemotherapy for the local treatment of tumors and scars. Radiation therapy is also available through affiliated hospital locations when required.

The hospital has 36 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The collaborative, multidisciplinary environment brings together experienced specialists who work closely to provide exceptional patient care and the highest standard of veterinary oncology.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
