Introduction
Our client is a specialty and emergency hospital seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Neurologist to launch and lead a neurology department at their brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Dunwoody, GA. This is a unique opportunity to shape a neurology service from the ground up, with full autonomy, advanced technology, and collaboration across multiple specialties.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule tailored to support patient care and work-life balance. No negative accrual and ProSal compensation ensure transparency and stability. On-call rotations will be designed as part of the new service, with strong ER and critical care support to optimize patient management.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Founding Neurologist will lead the development of the neurology service, including selecting diagnostic equipment, creating protocols, and mentoring a dedicated team. Clinical responsibilities include advanced imaging, electrodiagnostics, neurosurgery, and medical management of neurological disorders. Collaboration with internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, and critical care specialists will be central to delivering comprehensive patient care. This role is suited to an experienced or residency-trained neurologist who is excited to build and grow a premier service line.
Practice Details
The hospital is a purpose-built, 20,000+ sq ft facility opening in late 2026, designed specifically for multi-specialty collaboration. Neurology will have a custom suite with access to CT, MRI, electrodiagnostics, and dedicated neuro-ORs. The practice culture emphasizes innovation, collegiality, and medical excellence, with opportunities for leadership and equity.
Team
You will join a highly collaborative team that includes surgeons, criticalists, internal medicine specialists, dermatologists, anesthesiologists, and emergency doctors, supported by a strong network of veterinary technicians and administrative staff. The hospital is veterinarian-led, fostering a clinician-first culture.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
