Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an emergency and critical care practice located on Florida’s Emerald Coast. They are hiring for a full-time Veterinary Internist to join their collaborative and skilled team. The practice provides high-quality care to a large and diverse caseload while serving as a critical resource for the regional veterinary community. This opportunity is open to both board-certified internists and residency-trained veterinarians.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a full-time position, with scheduling to be discussed based on availability.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves managing complex internal medicine cases and collaborating with emergency and critical care teams. Clinical responsibilities include diagnostics, endoscopy, ultrasound, oxygen therapy, antivenin/antivenom treatments, emergency care, and emergency surgery. The position requires providing hands-on care, supporting referring veterinarians, and contributing to a patient-centered, collaborative approach. This role is open to both experienced and residency-trained veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital is a modern facility with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, a surgical suite, and doppler. A full-service veterinary reference laboratory is housed on-site, providing STAT laboratory testing such as hematology, chemistry, endocrinology, coagulation, blood gas, lactate, and urinalysis. The practice emphasizes a collaborative environment guided by empathy, teamwork, respect, and dedication. Team
The hospital has six DVMs supported by a highly trained and experienced team. With a strong staff-to-doctor ratio, the environment allows for excellence in patient care while fostering collaboration and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
