Introduction
Our client is a specialty and emergency hospital in Marietta, GA seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Internal Medicine Veterinarian (DACVIM) to join their growing team. The hospital provides advanced emergency and specialty care with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and high-level medicine.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24/7, providing around-the-clock emergency and specialty services. This is a full-time role with flexible scheduling options available to support work-life balance. Weekend and evening coverage is part of the team-based approach, shared across doctors to ensure sustainable scheduling.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Internal Medicine Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing and managing complex medical cases, working closely with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, criticalists, cardiologists, and anesthesiologists. Responsibilities include performing and interpreting advanced diagnostics such as endoscopy, rhinoscopy, and CT, developing tailored treatment plans, managing hospitalized patients, and collaborating on shared case management. The role is open to board-certified internists as well as residency-trained candidates who thrive in a collaborative, research-driven, and patient-focused environment.

This modern, state-of-the-art facility is fully equipped with cutting-edge technology, including dialysis, subs placement, v-clamp procedure capability, high-flow oxygen, mechanical ventilation, central line monitoring, and hospital-wide telemetry. AI-powered medical records and custom-designed internal medicine suites enhance efficiency and patient care. The hospital maintains partnerships with universities and supports CE, teaching, and research opportunities. Services offered include emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, anesthesia, and oncology.
Team
The hospital is home to a large, collaborative team of 17 veterinarians, including board-certified specialists across multiple disciplines. The internal medicine service currently consists of 2 internists supported by a highly skilled team of veterinary technicians and support staff. The environment is cross-disciplinary, mentoring-focused, and strongly supportive of professional development.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
