Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Criticalist to join their 24-hour emergency and specialty practice in Aurora, Illinois.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital provides 24-hour emergency and specialty care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time availability.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Criticalist will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class critical care medicine within a busy, well-equipped specialty hospital. The role includes working alongside specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Emergency and Critical Care, Radiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Anesthesia, while also engaging in teaching within the hospital’s strong rotating internship program. This position is designed for dedicated experts who value teamwork, professional growth, and providing exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.
Practice Details
The hospital operates within a 26,000-square-foot facility currently expanding by an additional 16,000 square feet. It is equipped with advanced technology including a 1.5T MRI, three ultrasound units, 16-slice CT scanner, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, endoscopy, laser therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and a Halcyon linear accelerator. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and offers access to a network of specialists within its infrastructure, supporting a dynamic caseload and continued professional development.
Team
The hospital has over 19 veterinarians, including a diverse team of board-certified specialists and experienced emergency clinicians, all supported by a skilled and collaborative team environment that fosters teaching, mentorship, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
