Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a state-of-the-art urgent care animal hospital in Worthington, Ohio, seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats, focusing on compassionate, high-quality, and convenient veterinary services.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates with a daytime and evening schedule, open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. The position is full-time, offering consistent hours without overnight shifts, providing a balance between steady caseloads and predictable scheduling.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will provide a mix of general medicine, emergency, and urgent care services. Clinical responsibilities include soft tissue surgery such as spays/neuters, mass and tumor removal, foreign body removal, wound repair, ophthalmology procedures, and anesthesia. The role involves building strong client relationships, providing personalized pain management, and ensuring safe and effective surgical care. This position is suitable for veterinarians with experience or a strong interest in urgent or emergency care.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools, including in-house blood and lab testing, digital radiography, EKG, tonometry, and anesthesia monitoring equipment. Services offered encompass general veterinary exams, diagnostics, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, pain management, and anesthesia. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
