Our client is a hospital seeking a Part-Time Urgent Care Veterinarian to support a modern, after-hours clinic that bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency care for canine and feline patients. The hospital focuses exclusively on urgent care and provides efficient, accessible treatment without the cost of emergency fees, offering a fresh and innovative approach to veterinary services.

Working Hours / Rota
The position is part-time with a flexible schedule, including swing or second-shift coverage. There are no abdominal surgeries and no wellness services.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload that includes wound management, ear infections, vomiting, diarrhea, and euthanasia. Responsibilities also include performing surgeries and appointments during open hours, providing relationship-based client communication, collaborating with the clinical team and leadership, supporting the growth of support staff through internal training programs, and engaging with the local community. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates and offers mentorship in a highly collaborative environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is a paperless, brand-new, modern facility designed to deliver efficient urgent care. It is equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital X-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment. The practice follows a Fear Free approach, is feline-friendly, and emphasizes strong technical support. Services include urgent care only, with no wellness care and no abdominal surgeries.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
