Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Urgent Care Veterinarian. The practice is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital providing urgent and general veterinary care and is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian. The hospital treats companion animals, including dogs and cats.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday from 7:00am to 6:30pm, Tuesday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Wednesday from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Thursday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, and Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm. The hospital is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, with reference made to services at an alternate health location. The position is full-time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian is responsible for delivering high-quality small animal medical care with a focus on urgent and same-day cases. Daily duties include examining and diagnosing patients, leading medical decision-making from diagnosis through treatment, educating clients on findings and care plans, and building strong, trusted client relationships. The role emphasizes collaboration with the paraprofessional team and maintaining high clinical standards while contributing to a positive hospital culture.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and supported by a wider veterinary network, offering access to internal specialty consultations and ongoing educational resources. The practice provides general wellness, medical, surgical, and urgent care services. Diagnostic capabilities include on-site laboratory equipment, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, blood pressure monitoring, and advanced diagnostics to support timely treatment plans. Additional services include elective and advanced surgical procedures, orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, acupuncture, rehabilitation therapy, laser therapy, spinal manipulation therapy, PennHIP and OFA certification, and integrative therapies. The team includes Fear Free certified members and emphasizes continuous improvement and modern treatment approaches.

Team
The hospital is supported by a large veterinary team consisting of 15 DVMs. The working environment is collaborative and mentorship-focused, with a strong emphasis on communication, mutual respect, and clinical excellence.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
