Introduction
Our client is a modern veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their urgent care team. The hospital provides after-hours care exclusively for canine and feline patients, bridging the gap between daytime general practice and emergency clinics. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a brand-new, modern facility with a Fear Free, feline-friendly approach.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is scheduled to open in early 2026. Once operational, opening hours will be Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on holidays from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Shifts follow a single-doctor model and are structured as swing and second shift schedules. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with flexibility offered.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide urgent care for a wide variety of non-life-threatening conditions, including gastrointestinal illness, respiratory infections, skin and urinary problems, minor injuries, pain management, and euthanasia. Responsibilities include managing caseloads during open hours, collaborating with colleagues, supporting the growth of support staff, and engaging with the local community. This role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with personalized mentorship and internal collaboration platforms available.

Practice Details
The hospital is fully paperless and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment. Facilities are designed to deliver efficient care and include separate exam rooms tailored to patient needs. The practice is exclusively focused on urgent care, with no wellness services or abdominal surgeries performed. The caseload is varied and fast-paced, providing opportunities to treat a broad range of conditions in a supportive, team-based environment.

Team
Each shift is staffed by a single veterinarian supported by a skilled technical and support team. The culture emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth, with a strong foundation of team support.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
