Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital treating small animal and is currently seeking both a full-time and a part-time veterinarian to join their growing team. In addition to general practice roles, they are also seeking a veterinarian to lead their new urgent care initiative, expanding service hours into evenings and weekends.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open to applications for both full-time and part-time positions. For the urgent care role, the proposed schedule includes Thursdays and Fridays from 6:00 PM to midnight, Saturdays from 2:00 PM to midnight, and Sundays from 12:00 PM to midnight.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The position includes all typical Urgent care duties and responsibilities. The urgent care role specifically focuses on treating non-routine, non-life-threatening cases during extended hours. The role is open to experienced veterinarians and potentially to new graduates, though no specific designation was made.
Practice Details
The facility is equipped with a full in-house laboratory suite, digital radiography, ultrasound, dental radiography, high-speed dental equipment, isolation rooms, and electronic medical records. The hospital promotes lifelong health for patients through robust wellness plans, helping to improve compliance and strengthen client relationships. A major expansion is underway, adding 3,000 square feet to include daycare, boarding, and grooming services.
Team
The staffing model targets a 6:1 staff-to-doctor ratio to ensure doctors are highly productive and well supported. The targeted staffing model and ongoing expansion suggest a collaborative, well-supported environment designed to promote efficiency and quality care.
