Job Description

The practice is full-service small animal hospital offering the best in medical and surgical care. They have been a pillar in their community for over 30 years and have built an amazing and loyal client base. Their clients are well-educated and usually approve all recommended diagnostics and procedures. Their diagnostic equipment includes an in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and brand-new ultrasound machine. They utilize 4 Paws Imaging for diagnostic ultrasounds and echocardiograms. They are fully paperless and use AVImark for electronic medical records. Their hospital also offers grooming services. Their doctors perform a variety of routine, advanced soft tissue surgeries, and dentistry. Their medical director has a passion for surgery and has done additional training in orthopedic procedures, including lateral suture and medial patellar luxation repair. Their surgery suite contains a heated adjustable table, suction, cautery, Cardell monitoring equipment, and they usually have two technicians assisting and monitoring during every surgery. Their dentistry equipment includes a Midmark dental machine and digital dental radiography. They also have therapeutic laser, which is used daily for many conditions, including post operatively, post extractions, wound healing, and back pain. Cruciate patients are lasered twice a week for 4 weeks after surgery. Pre-operative lab work, IV catheter, and IV fluids are required for every anesthetic patient. Most importantly, they have a well-trained and well-utilized support staff. They are empowered to do everything they are trained to do, including taking radiographs, placing IV catheters, intubating, monitoring, and medicating patients. Every doctor is well-supported with a 2:1 technician to doctor ratio.
