Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital that has been ever-changing since 1984 to better accommodate the needs of its clients. They are equipped and staffed to handle diagnostic, surgical, medical, and wellness needs and is currently hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The hospital sees cats and dogs, equine, and some farm animals/livestock.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, remaining closed on Sundays. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and the role offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time employment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role includes full general practice responsibilities with a focus on surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, wellness, and urgent care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped with a large waiting room, five animal examination rooms, an in-house laboratory, a federally accredited coggins testing laboratory, a pharmacy, a small animal surgical prep and dental suite, two small animal surgical suites, an equine recovery room, equine stocks, equine stalls, and an isolation ward. It also has two ambulatory trucks that are fully equipped for equine emergency and routine farm calls, supporting a full-service general practice caseload.
Team
The team includes six DVMs supported by a well-trained team of support staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
