This role offers the opportunity to lead the hospital’s medical team while continuing to provide hands-on clinical care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on Sundays. The Lead Veterinarian role is full-time, providing flexibility to manage clinical and leadership responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care, including exams, illness management, spay and neuter procedures, surgery, diagnostics, vaccinations, dental care, urgent care, and acupuncture services. In addition to clinical duties, the Lead Veterinarian will establish and maintain a positive, collaborative culture in the hospital, mentor associate veterinarians, guide medical protocols, and support professional development for the team. This role includes oversight of hospital medical operations, ensuring care standards are met, and partnering with hospital leadership to optimize workflow and team performance. This position is best suited for an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership and communication skills.

Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped with modern facilities to support veterinary care, including diagnostic testing, surgical suites, X-ray capability, dental equipment, and an in-house pharmacy. Services offered include urgent care, diagnostics, spay and neuter, surgery, illness exams, kitten and puppy care, vaccinations, dental cleaning and health, peaceful passing and grief support, dry needle acupuncture, aqua-acupuncture, and electroacupuncture. The practice emphasizes a culture of collaboration, high-quality care, and client education, with a supportive operational and clinical team in place.

Team
The hospital has two DVMs supported by a skilled team of veterinary professionals. The Lead Veterinarian will work alongside the associate veterinarian(s) and support staff to create a collaborative, team-focused environment, providing mentorship and leadership while still maintaining a clinical caseload.
