Our client is a well-established small animal hospital located in Mebane, North Carolina, seeking a Part-Time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their experienced team. The hospital is expanding its services to include dedicated urgent care hours and is looking for a motivated veterinarian to help grow this new offering. The practice provides high-quality medical, surgical, and diagnostic care for dogs and cats, with a loyal client base and a strong reputation for compassionate service within the community.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with regular weekend hours currently closed. This part-time position specifically covers a 12-hour shift on Saturdays to support the hospital’s newly expanded urgent care service. There are no overnight, on-call, or holiday shifts, offering an ideal schedule for veterinarians seeking flexibility and work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will focus on providing high-quality, efficient care for pets requiring same-day treatment for urgent but non-emergency conditions. Responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, and treating a variety of acute cases, performing minor procedures, and managing hospitalized patients during the shift. The ideal candidate is an experienced veterinarian who enjoys working up complex cases, values clinical autonomy, and thrives in a fast-paced yet supportive environment. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to client care are essential, as is a commitment to delivering exceptional medicine.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment technology, allowing for advanced medical care and efficient workflow. The facility includes digital radiography, laboratory diagnostics, and surgical capability, supporting a wide range of services from urgent and preventive care to surgery and internal medicine. Team
The hospital currently has a team of four veterinarians and a highly trained support staff, ensuring a well-organized and efficient work environment. While this role will operate as a solo Saturday shift, the veterinarian will be supported by experienced technicians and assistants throughout the day. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
