Our client is a long-established veterinary hospital based in Laurel, Mississippi, currently seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their trusted and high-performing team. This respected small animal practice is known as the oldest and most reputable veterinary hospital in Jones County, providing generations of families with compassionate, high-quality care. The hospital offers a full range of veterinary services and is looking for a veterinarian who values clinical autonomy, enjoys both medical and surgical cases, and wants to be part of a community-focused legacy practice.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is closed on weekends, allowing for excellent work-life balance. This position can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, providing flexibility for veterinarians seeking a steady weekday schedule without after-hours or weekend responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a diverse caseload with a balance of medical and surgical work, focusing on general practice, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. Clinical responsibilities include performing wellness exams, diagnostics, vaccinations, internal medicine, parasite prevention, and surgical procedures. The position offers the opportunity to lead cases, perform advanced soft tissue surgeries, and contribute to the continued success of a deeply rooted community practice. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian who is confident in managing a diverse caseload and committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a wide range of veterinary services supported by advanced equipment and facilities. Available services include wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, dental care, general and advanced soft tissue surgery, in-house diagnostics, microchipping, parasite prevention, urgent care, laser therapy, and boarding. The hospital also provides intensive care and works closely with its sister practice to ensure comprehensive coverage for the local community. The facility is well-equipped with digital radiography, in-house laboratory capabilities, and a therapeutic laser, allowing veterinarians to practice high-quality, modern medicine.

Team
The hospital has a team of six veterinarians supported by an experienced and compassionate group of technicians and support staff. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
