Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established hospital in Franklin, Indiana, currently hiring an Associate Veterinarian with a focus on mixed animal practice. The hospital serves a variety of species, including both small and large animals, and is recognized for its collaborative, supportive, and professional environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM with limited hours. This is a full-time position, with flexible scheduling options to support work-life balance. A dedicated wellness facility is also available for veterinarians preferring to focus exclusively on wellness care without surgical responsibilities. The role may require occasional weekend, evening, or holiday work.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide general medical care, surgical services, urgent care, and wellness services for both small and large animals. Clinical responsibilities may include dentistry, diagnostics, surgery, preventive care, and reproductive services. The position is open to experienced veterinarians with flexibility to tailor the role based on individual skills and interests.
Practice Details
The clinic is equipped with advanced tools including high-speed dentistry equipment, digital full-body and dental radiography, in-house diagnostics, ultrasonography, Cone Beam CT imaging, and cold laser therapy. Surgical and diagnostic capabilities include orthopedic procedures, soft tissue surgery, comprehensive dental care, OFA evaluations, and PennHIP certification. The hospital emphasizes a team-oriented culture, modern infrastructure, and high-quality patient care across a varied caseload.
Team
The hospital employs 13 DVMs supported by a robust technical and support staff. The environment is collaborative and mentorship-focused, promoting professional growth and a strong sense of teamwork for both new and experienced veterinarians.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
