Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal hospital located in Fort Myers, Florida, seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This AAHA-accredited hospital provides comprehensive care for canine, feline, and small ruminant patients, offering an excellent opportunity for veterinarians of all experience levels to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule, allowing for excellent work-life balance. The hospital operates from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays. There are no Sunday or after-hours requirements, and veterinarians benefit from hour-long lunch breaks to ensure a balanced workday.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload that includes medical, surgical, and wellness cases. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, surgeries, dentistry, and wellness exams while maintaining strong client communication and a relationship-based approach to patient care. Collaboration with the clinical and leadership teams is encouraged, along with supporting the growth and development of the hospital’s talented support staff. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who wish to work in a mentorship-focused and progressive setting.

This AAHA-accredited hospital offers a modern facility equipped with digital radiography and a dedicated surgical suite. The hospital provides a wide range of services including wellness and vaccination care, dentistry, critical care, surgery, diagnostics, dermatology and allergy treatment, nutrition and weight management, and boarding. The clinic’s culture emphasizes teamwork, client relationships, and continuous learning, all while being located just a short drive from the beaches and island-hopping destinations of Sanibel and Captiva.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
