Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This small animal and exotics hospital provides exceptional care for dogs, cats, and a wide range of exotic species, including birds, reptiles, small mammals, and wildlife.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, remaining closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position, with a four-day work week offered to promote a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care while maintaining a compassionate and client-focused approach. Duties include performing wellness exams, diagnostics, and a variety of surgical procedures, as well as communicating effectively with clients regarding treatment plans and preventative care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with a structured mentorship program available to support professional growth and confidence in clinical practice.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and operates from a modern 9,000-square-foot facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including ultrasound, CT and MRI through a nearby partnership, and comprehensive in-house laboratory capabilities. Services offered include wellness and senior care, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, microchipping, surgery (soft-tissue, dental, ophthalmic, and orthopedic including TPLOs), exotic pet medicine, chemotherapy, and end-of-life care. The hospital prides itself on maintaining the highest standards of care and providing an engaging, educational, and collaborative environment for both staff and clients.

Team
The hospital currently has five DVMs supported by eight certified veterinary technicians and a skilled support team. The culture is team-oriented, respectful, and mentorship-driven, with a strong emphasis on continuing education, collaboration, and career development for veterinarians at all levels.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
