Introduction
Our client is a long-established veterinary hospital based in Cartersville, Georgia, currently seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their collaborative and experienced team. This multi-doctor small animal hospital has proudly served the greater Atlanta community for decades, providing exceptional care to pets across Acworth, Woodstock, Cartersville, Emerson, Bartow County, Cobb County, and the surrounding areas. The hospital is known for its relationship-based approach, high medical standards, and supportive culture that encourages professional growth at all stages of a veterinarian’s career.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., remaining closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position that includes participation in the shared Saturday rota. There are no after-hours requirements, offering an excellent balance between professional and personal life.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for small animal patients while fostering strong relationships with clients and the local community. Daily responsibilities include performing wellness exams, diagnostics, surgery, dental procedures, dermatology consultations, pain management, and emergency care during regular hours. The role involves collaborating closely with the clinical team and leadership, supporting the development of support staff, and contributing to the hospital’s continued commitment to excellence. This position is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, with mentorship available for those early in their careers.

Practice Details
The hospital is a feline-friendly, well-equipped facility designed to support a wide range of services and complex cases. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, and a dedicated surgical suite to ensure the highest standard of care. The hospital provides a full spectrum of veterinary services including wellness and preventative medicine, dentistry, dermatology, radiology, diagnostics, surgery, intensive care, laser therapy, pain management, and emergency services. Boarding services are also available on-site, offering continuity of care for patients and peace of mind for clients. The environment is professional, compassionate, and focused on teamwork and clinical excellence.

Team
The hospital is staffed by a team of five veterinarians supported by a skilled and compassionate group of technicians and support staff. The culture emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning, with a focus on building lasting relationships with both clients and patients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
