Introduction
Our client is a well-established veterinary hospital based in Byram, Mississippi, currently seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their experienced and dedicated team. This state-of-the-art, 10,000-square-foot facility provides comprehensive care for a wide range of species, including small animals, large animals, and exotics such as birds, reptiles, pocket pets, and primates. The hospital is known for delivering high-quality, innovative veterinary medicine and compassionate care across multiple species.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is closed on weekends, offering a great work-life balance. This position can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, allowing for flexibility to suit individual scheduling preferences. There are no after-hours or weekend responsibilities required.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to a diverse caseload that includes small animals, large animals, and exotic species. Responsibilities include general medicine, preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and participation in specialized services such as reproductive health and stem cell therapy. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates seeking mentorship in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The hospital is a 10,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility equipped to support a wide range of veterinary services. It is accredited by the Mississippi Board of Veterinary Medicine and the American Veterinary Medical Association, reflecting its commitment to maintaining high clinical standards. Available services include wellness care, vaccinations, dental procedures, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, nutritional counselling, senior pet care, urgent care, exotic medicine, large animal care, reproductive health, and stem cell therapy. The hospital also offers separate boarding areas for cats and dogs to ensure a comfortable and stress-free experience for all patients.

Team
The hospital is home to three veterinarians supported by a skilled and compassionate team of technicians and support staff. The team works closely together to provide exceptional patient care and an outstanding client experience, fostering a professional and mentorship-focused environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
