Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital based in Beltsville, Maryland, seeking a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated and long-established team. This hospital has been a trusted provider of veterinary care for cats and dogs since 1965, offering comprehensive services and compassionate care to the Beltsville community and surrounding Maryland, DC, and Virginia areas. The practice is ideal for a veterinarian who values collaboration, client communication, and delivering exceptional medicine in a supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. The schedule offers flexibility, with opportunities for full-time or part-time work, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to small animal patients. Daily duties include wellness exams, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry, along with effective client communication and teamwork with colleagues. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with tailored mentorship opportunities available through the hospital’s Support From the Start program, providing hands-on training and support in clinical and professional development.

Practice Details
This hospital offers a modern, well-equipped facility designed to support excellent medical care and efficient workflows. Equipment includes a new ultrasound unit, a recently remodeled dental suite with digital dental radiography, and plans for upcoming upgrades to the surgical and treatment areas in 2025. The practice provides a wide range of services, including preventive care, surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, ultrasound, radiology, and diagnostics, ensuring a diverse caseload and opportunities for continuous growth.

Team
The practice currently has a team of six veterinarians, including long-term relief doctors, and a strong, cohesive support staff. Led by a highly collaborative Medical Director, the environment is supportive, mentoring-focused, and team-driven. The team also includes an experienced Practice Manager, a skilled group of technicians, and dedicated client service staff, all working together to provide outstanding care for pets and their owners.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
