Our client is a well-established veterinary hospital seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team in Barrington, Rhode Island. This small animal practice provides progressive, individualized medical care in a supportive and collaborative environment. The hospital is looking for a veterinarian who is personable, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to the growth of their thriving practice.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work flexible hours. The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with Sundays closed. Weekend coverage is limited to Saturday hours, and there are no after-hours or on-call requirements, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to small animal patients while maintaining a high standard of client communication and patient management. Daily duties will include performing examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and managing routine procedures such as wellness care, dental cleanings, and soft tissue surgeries. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship and professional development opportunities available for those starting their careers.

Practice Details
This hospital is fully equipped to support high-quality veterinary care with advanced diagnostic tools including Catalyst, SediVue, and ProCyte analyzers. The facility features three exam rooms and provides a comprehensive range of services such as preventive and wellness care, dentistry, surgical procedures, diagnostics, urgent care, and end-of-life support. Additional services include microchipping, nutritional counseling, pharmacy access, and laboratory testing. The hospital’s culture emphasizes collaboration, progressive medicine, and compassionate care for every patient.

The practice is home to three DVMs supported by a skilled and friendly support team. Together, they create a professional yet enjoyable work environment that values teamwork, mentorship, and a balanced lifestyle while providing exceptional care to pets and their families.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
