Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital caring for cats and dogs. They are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian with at least five years of practice to join their team and provide comprehensive general practice care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. The practice runs on an appointment-based model. The ideal schedule for this full-time position would be four weekdays with rotating Saturdays. Specific doctor hours are open to discussion.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will carry full general practice responsibilities including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and nutritional counseling.

Practice Details
The hospital features state-of-the-art facilities and is equipped with IDEXX and Abaxis in-house diagnostics, in-house ultrasound, and digital radiographs. The practice is transitioning to cloud-based EZVet software in August 2025. The clinic has a clean, efficient layout designed for optimal workflow and has access to visiting board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, and radiology for advanced procedures. Services also include boarding and grooming.

Team
The hospital team comprises two DVMs, two Licensed Veterinary Technicians, one client care manager, three veterinary assistants, and three receptionists. The practice benefits from consistent access to board-certified specialists in internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and radiology, supporting a collaborative and well-supported work environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
