Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Statesville, North Carolina, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital is a full-service small animal practice that has proudly served the community for over a decade. The hospital provides care for a wide range of species including dogs, cats, pocket pets, and exotics, and is known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to exceptional patient care and client service.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on weekends. Each day includes a dedicated two-hour lunch break from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with no scheduled appointments. The team is open to discussing scheduling flexibility.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a diverse caseload that includes routine spays and neuters, abdominal surgeries, mass removals, and eye and ear procedures. With a high volume of cases and support from technicians handling tech appointments, this role offers the opportunity to refine skills in both general practice and advanced procedures. The position is open to veterinarians of all experience levels and provides strong mentorship and support for professional growth.

The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including ultrasound, endoscopy, full in-house labs, digital full-body radiology, and dental radiology. The facility is thoughtfully designed with skylights and large windows that bring natural light into the surgery suite. Team
You would be joining as the third DVM in a family-feel team that values collaboration and camaraderie. The staff is committed to supporting one another in a high-volume environment while maintaining a positive and engaging workplace culture.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
