Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join a well-regarded small animal general practice in South Bend, Indiana.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 AM to 11:40 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The position is full-time with no weekend or after-hours requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a broad range of services, including wellness care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, urgent care, and end-of-life care. There are also opportunities to engage in holistic and integrative veterinary medicine, including acupuncture, homotoxicology, and laser therapy, although experience in these areas is not required. The role is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, with professional growth supported in a collaborative environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced technology, including a large surgical suite, ultrasound, therapy laser, digital X-ray, dental machine, dental X-ray, and six exam rooms. The practice offers services such as wellness care, dental care, surgery, holistic and integrative therapies, specialty services, diagnostics, end-of-life care, an in-house laboratory, microchipping, nutrition counseling, and pharmacy support. The practice culture emphasizes client education, high-quality patient care, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Team
The team includes three experienced DVMs, one of whom is a Medical Director specializing in holistic medicine. The clinic fosters a collaborative, mentoring-focused environment that encourages professional development and values teamwork and supportive client relationships.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
