Job Description
This is a wonderful, privately owned, small animal practice located in Smyrna with easy access to the airport and to downtown for all the entertainment the city has to offer! They currently have 2 doctors and have at least a 2:1 tech/dr ratio. Appointments are generally 30 minutes, and staff are smart at booking wellness visits right after a sick visit. Hospital equipment includes: Digital x-ray, ultrasound, surgical suites (2), one is dental suite, one is soft tissue – both fully equipped, digital dental x-ray (used for every dental procedure), inhouse labs, 6 exam rooms (one is consult room used for euthanasia / surgery intake and one is cat only exam room), EMR (Cornerstone). The hospital is gold certified Cat Friendly and although not accredited, they follow a lot of AAHA / Fear Free processes. The hospital is happy to accept both New grads as well as experienced doctors as they have a great mentorship program. They can also accommodate both full time and part time doctors. They hospital can accommodate a DVM who does not wish to do surgery.
