General Practice Veterinarian (Veterinarian)

Job Description

An independently owned small animal veterinary practice is seeking a veterinarian to join its dedicated and supportive team. While part-time is preferred, there is openness to discussing full-time opportunities. The practice is also open to discussions about treating exotic animals. The team consists of one full-time veterinarian, two part-time veterinarians, two receptionists, and 2-3 technicians. Appointment lengths vary based on patient needs: 20 minutes for young wellness visits and 30 minutes for sick patients, older pets, and new clients. The hospital is equipped with advanced technology, including digital x-ray, dental x-rays, ultrasound, laser, in-house labs, and Arvimort systems. There are three exam rooms, and the practice uses Arvimort electronic records. This practice offers a relaxed, lifestyle-oriented work environment, focusing exclusively on scheduled appointments with no patient hospitalization. The clinic is only open every other Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM and two evenings per week until 8 PM. The typical workday ranges from 7 to 8 hours. The position is open to new graduates, with mentorship opportunities available. The role requires a minimum commitment of two days per week, with an average of approximately 20 hours per week, and some weeks extending to three days.
