Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established mixed animal hospital in Lewiston, Minnesota, hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced and compassionate team. The practice provides care for companion animals, dairy and beef cattle, small ruminants, and hobby farm livestock.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The clinic is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with flexibility to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a range of services including preventive care, diagnostics, routine and advanced surgeries, reproductive services, emergency care, and the development of treatment protocols. Responsibilities also include client education, interpreting lab results, and building strong client relationships. The role is open to veterinarians with an interest in mixed animal practice, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development in areas of personal interest.

Practice Details
The practice is equipped with modern diagnostic tools and offers comprehensive services including preventive care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedic surgery, reproductive services, and emergency care. The hospital promotes medical autonomy, encourages professional growth through customized CE programs, and supports a collaborative, community-centered culture.

Team
The team includes five DVMs supported by a skilled and collaborative group of technicians and staff. The environment is team-oriented and mentoring-focused, providing strong support for both experienced veterinarians and those early in their careers.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
