Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its friendly and community-focused team. The hospital provides care for dogs, cats, exotics, and wildlife, offering a variety of cases and opportunities for professional growth. The clinic fosters a supportive, family-like environment where collaboration and gold-standard medicine are at the heart of daily practice.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The role offers flexibility for full-time or part-time schedules, including options to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week. There is no on-call requirement, and only two Saturday mornings per month are worked. Each day includes a protected 1.5-hour lunch period and dedicated time for notes and client follow-ups between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, ensuring a strong focus on work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload including wellness, urgent care, surgical, and dental cases, with the ability to tailor appointments and case types to individual strengths and interests. The position involves collaboration on diagnostics and treatment plans, performing surgical procedures, and maintaining strong communication with clients. This role suits veterinarians who value teamwork, clinical autonomy, and continued growth. It is open to experienced doctors who enjoy contributing to mentorship and professional development within a supportive environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiology, access to a human laboratory for rapid results, and utilizes advanced software systems including Pulse (a cloud-based PIMS) and ScribbleVet for AI-assisted medical note-taking. Services include wellness and preventative care, urgent care, dentistry, surgery, and exotic and wildlife medicine. The practice maintains a culture centered on collaboration, innovation, and compassionate care, with strong community engagement and a loyal client base that has grown significantly since its establishment in 2019.

Team
The team includes one doctor supported by four skilled technicians, providing an excellent doctor-to-technician ratio. The environment is described as drama-free, supportive, and family-oriented, with regular team huddles and open communication channels. The hospital fosters collaboration through bi-monthly DVM meetings, mentorship opportunities, and team-building events, creating a cohesive workplace that encourages both professional and personal growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
