Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital located in Laguna Beach, California, currently hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their innovative and high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity for a driven, surgery-focused veterinarian to work in a well-established practice that blends traditional and holistic medicine.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on weekends. The Associate Veterinarian schedule is based on a 4-day, 10-hour shift model (4/10s), with no surgeries scheduled on Wednesdays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage same-day appointments, provide surgical care, and address occasional emergency cases. The role is best suited for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys learning and growing professionally. Surgery is a strong focus, but holistic medicine is optional based on the candidate’s interest.

Practice Details
The hospital is housed in a second-story, custom-built facility with ocean views, featuring four exam rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, and a spacious treatment area. An adjacent building is available for future rehabilitation expansion. The clinic offers a blend of traditional and holistic services including acupuncture, chiropractic care, herbal therapy, prolotherapy, therapeutic laser, diagnostics, dentistry, and vaccinations. Team
The practice is home to 2 DVMs, including a surgical specialist. It boasts a support staff ratio of 5:1 or better, creating a highly efficient and collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
