Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital that provides care for cats, dogs, and some pocket pets. They are currently hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their team.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Associate Veterinarian role can be either full- or part-time, and working hours are open to discussion.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing medical, diagnostic, surgical, dental, and preventative healthcare services. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of care including wellness visits, dental care, pain management, geriatric care, and hospice services. The position welcomes applications from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including digital x-ray, handheld digital dental x-ray, a brand-new ultrasound and cold laser therapy unit, in-house and outsourced IDEXX labs, six exam rooms, a surgical suite, two wet tables for additional dental procedures, and two lift tables in the treatment area. In addition to general practice, the hospital also provides urgent care services.
Team
The current team consists of four DVMs. They are supported by a team of tenured support staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
