Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join its two-doctor team. The clinic provides comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals in a modern, well-equipped facility.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The position is full-time with no weekend hours, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a general practice caseload, including wellness and sick patient care, routine spays and neuters, GI surgeries, dentistry, diagnostics, and urgent care. Additional responsibilities include client communication, preventive care, treatment planning, and contributing to the growth of the practice. The role is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, with a preference for those who are compassionate, personable, and collaborative.

Practice Details
The hospital was built in 2018 and is equipped with in-house chemistry and hematology equipment, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, and electronic medical records. Services include wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, urgent care, end-of-life care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, and an in-house pharmacy. The practice culture is centered on high-quality care, teamwork, and strong client relationships.

Team
The team includes two DVMs supported by a tightly knit and tenured group of veterinary professionals. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, with an emphasis on maintaining a welcoming and supportive workplace.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
