Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital based in Cornelia, Georgia, currently seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their caring and dedicated team. This small animal practice provides comprehensive medical, dental, and surgical services to pets in the local community and surrounding areas. With a mission to help pets live long, happy, and healthy lives, the hospital combines high-quality clinical care with compassionate client service. The practice also benefits from the support of two sister hospitals in the Cornelia/Clarksville area, offering opportunities for collaboration and shared expertise.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with shared Saturday coverage and no after-hours or emergency requirements, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full range of medical and surgical care, including wellness and sick exams, dentistry, diagnostics, and soft tissue surgeries. Daily responsibilities include performing physical examinations, interpreting test results, prescribing treatments, and maintaining clear and compassionate communication with clients. The veterinarian will also be encouraged to participate in professional development and continuing education to stay current with advances in veterinary medicine. This role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship and growth opportunities available through an extensive professional network.

The hospital is a modern, well-equipped facility with a friendly and supportive environment. Equipment includes recently upgraded dental technology, as well as diagnostic and surgical tools that allow for high-quality patient care. Services include internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, endocrinology, pain management, acupuncture, and behavioral therapy, in addition to wellness care, dentistry, and preventive services. The hospital’s commitment to continuous learning and collaboration extends beyond its walls, with access to a wider network of over 800 veterinary professionals for mentorship and case consultation.

The practice currently has one veterinarian supported by a skilled and compassionate team of veterinary assistants, technicians, and administrative staff. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
