Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital serving the communities of Shelton, Monroe, and surrounding areas in Fairfield County since 1994. They are seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their compassionate and experienced team. The hospital is known for providing individualized, high-quality care for all types of pets and maintaining a strong commitment to patient well-being.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. There are no after-hours or weekend requirements, providing an excellent work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and wellness care to companion animals. Daily duties include performing general surgery, wellness exams, vaccinations, and urgent care services. The role requires a strong focus on dentistry, as the hospital places particular emphasis on providing high-quality dental care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who are motivated, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

This modern, full-service facility offers a wide range of services, including general surgery, wellness exams, urgent care, oncology, ultrasound, digital radiography, an on-site laboratory, ECG testing, nutritional counseling, microchipping, and pharmacy services. The hospital benefits from visiting specialists who provide advanced diagnostic imaging. The practice fosters a collaborative, supportive environment focused on teamwork and high medical standards.
Team

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
