Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides care for small animals, avian species, and pocket pets, offering services including preventive care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and laser therapy. The practice emphasizes Fear Free protocols and a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with Sundays closed. The position supports full-time work with structured weekday and occasional Saturday coverage.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload including small animals, birds, and pocket pets. Clinical responsibilities include preventive healthcare, dentistry, surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, laser therapy, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation, and care for exotic species. The role requires strong client communication and is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.
Practice Details
The hospital features four exam rooms, separate surgery and dental suites, class IV laser therapy, digital radiography, dental radiography, and a range of diagnostic and laboratory capabilities including urinalysis, fecal examination, blood work, bacterial culture, ultrasound, cytology, and histopathology. Services offered include wellness exams, preventive care, dental health, surgical procedures, laser therapy, physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, avian and exotic care, canine fitness, and advanced diagnostics. The facility is designed to maximize efficiency and support high-quality patient care.
Team
The hospital employs three DVMs supported by experienced veterinary technicians and assistants, maintaining a collaborative, fun, and mentorship-driven work environment that prioritizes professional growth and team well-being.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
