Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established hospital in Plainfield, Indiana, hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their collaborative and experienced team. This small animal practice has been a trusted part of the local community since 1955 and continues to grow, offering compassionate, high-quality veterinary care in a supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and is closed on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, providing flexibility for different needs and lifestyles.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role offers exposure to a wide variety of cases in preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and wellness. New graduates and students are welcome to apply and will benefit from structured mentorship to build their skills and confidence. The hospital values a team-based approach and encourages professional development at all career stages.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and equipped with digital radiology, dental X-ray, abdominal ultrasound, surgical and therapy lasers, and video otoscopy. An in-house laboratory and pharmacy support efficient diagnostics and treatment. The facility includes an intensive care unit, isolation ward, in-office surgical suite, and is approved for animal quarantine. Services range from advanced diagnostics and internal medicine to orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, pain management, hospice care, and house calls. The hospital has strong ties to the local community and animal welfare organizations.

Team
The team includes three DVMs supported by experienced and long-tenured staff. The work culture is collaborative, efficient, and patient-centered, offering a welcoming environment for both seasoned professionals and those just beginning their careers.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
