General Practice Veterinarian (Associate Veterinarian)

Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their established and growing team. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats and is equipped to support a wide range of clinical services. This opportunity is open to veterinarians at all experience levels, including new graduates.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with no Sunday hours. The role offers a rotational schedule that supports work-life balance, and flexible full-time arrangements are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload that includes wellness exams, preventative care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and senior pet care. Advanced services such as ultrasound, digital radiology, and laser therapy are also part of the hospital’s offerings. This role is suitable for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a state-of-the-art facility with modern amenities such as a large surgical suite, designated dental suite with digital x-ray, isolation ward, new ultrasound unit, in-house laboratory, paperlight record system, and heated kennel floors. Additional features include UV disinfection systems to promote a safe environment for patients, staff, and clients. The hospital provides a comprehensive list of services ranging from routine wellness to advanced surgery, senior care, dental care, parasite prevention, laser therapy, travel health certification, and end-of-life care. With AAHA accreditation, the hospital maintains the highest standards of care while fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and staff involvement in practice development.

Team
The team consists of seven veterinarians supported by a highly skilled group of approximately 50 staff, including multiple Certified Veterinary Technicians. The environment is collaborative, employee-driven, and focused on mentoring and ongoing professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
