General Practice Veterinarian (Associate Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a growing small animal day practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. They are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions, providing an excellent opportunity for either an experienced veterinarian with strong surgical skills or a new graduate looking for mentorship and development within a supportive environment. The practice cares exclusively for small animals.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Wednesday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Thursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays. Scheduling is flexible and can be adapted to suit either full-time or part-time preferences, with a focus on work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full range of small animal services including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and pain management. The role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced doctor to make use of their surgical skills, while also being open to new graduates who will receive mentorship and support to establish themselves in a collaborative environment.

Practice Details
The practice is fully equipped with a complete in-house laboratory suite, digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, high-speed dental equipment, and electronic medical records. Facilities include isolation rooms and dedicated spaces for dentistry and surgery. The hospital offers a wide variety of services including wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, spay and neuter, dentistry, pain management, boarding and daycare, and grooming. Robust wellness plans support client compliance and encourage long-term health for patients. The culture is supportive, community-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality care while partnering with local shelters to help pets find forever homes.

Team
The hospital is home to three veterinarians supported by a highly skilled team, maintaining a targeted 6:1 staff-to-doctor ratio to ensure efficiency and excellent support. The environment is collaborative, mentorship-focused, and designed to foster professional growth alongside strong teamwork.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
