General Practice Veterinarian (Associate Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a corporate, AAHA-accredited hospital seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their multi-doctor, small animal and some exotic practice in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. The hospital focuses on compassionate, high-quality care for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with Saturday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday closed. Urgent care services are available Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The position is full-time, starting at three or four days per week, with rotating Saturday shifts.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical and surgical care, including dentistry, wellness exams, preventive medicine, and urgent care services. They will perform surgeries such as soft tissue procedures and work with board-certified specialists for advanced orthopedic or complex cases. The role requires comfort with dentistry and surgery and is open to experienced veterinarians seeking a collaborative and supportive environment.

Practice Details
This state-of-the-art hospital is approximately 9,000 sq. ft. and features three surgical suites, two complete in-house laboratories, endoscopy, two radiology rooms, a dental suite with two dental radiograph units, a large pharmacy, and an AKC-approved canine sperm bank storage facility. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound imaging, and advanced diagnostic tools. The hospital offers services such as pet wellness, medical and surgical care, dental care, reproductive services, urgent care, and in-house laboratory diagnostics. The practice emphasizes precise, patient-focused care in a positive, collaborative environment with mentorship opportunities.

Team
The hospital has 11 DVMs supported by veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service staff. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and mentoring-focused, promoting professional growth, teamwork, and employee well-being.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
