Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This AAHA-accredited practice provides care for dogs, cats, and some pocket pets, with a strong focus on compassionate medicine and client education.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. The role can be offered on a full-time, part-time, or relief basis, with veterinarians working a rotating Saturday schedule.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The position includes providing general medicine, surgery, and dentistry, along with wellness and preventative care. Experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply, while new graduates will benefit from dedicated mentorship.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including in-house laboratory, digital radiology, ultrasonography, advanced dentistry, therapy laser, and surgical facilities for soft-tissue procedures. Services offered include wellness care, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, laser therapy, nutritional counseling, preventive medicine, senior pet care, microchipping, diagnostic imaging, grooming, and end-of-life care. The hospital maintains the highest standards of veterinary medicine through its AAHA accreditation and has Fear Free certified professionals on staff.
Team
The practice has six full-time veterinarians supported by a dedicated and skilled team. The workplace culture is collaborative, supportive, and mentorship-focused.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
