Job Description

Introduction
An Associate Veterinarian is needed to join a reputable, privately owned hospital in Farmington, Utah. The hospital has five veterinarians and is well established in the community, offering comprehensive services for dogs and cats. This opportunity is open to full-time candidates and includes strong mentorship from the hospital owner, who has been practicing since 1994.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. Full-time associates can expect a consistent weekday schedule without on-call or overnight requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical, surgical, and dental care to a wide range of cases. Responsibilities include preventive wellness care, diagnostics, client communication, and surgery. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with ample support from experienced technicians. Mentorship is available for new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced technology and facilities, including digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, orthopedic surgery capabilities, laser therapy, in-house laboratory, and an onsite crematorium. Boarding services are also available. Each doctor is supported by at least two technicians, ensuring efficient workflows and a high standard of patient care.

Team
The incoming doctor will join a team of five veterinarians and a dedicated, compassionate support staff. The hospital culture emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth, making it an excellent environment for both experienced veterinarians and those just beginning their careers.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
