Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established, collaborative small animal and exotic practice. The clinic supports a diverse caseload including dogs, cats, avian species, and exotic pets, and offers a balance of medical autonomy and team-based support within an AAHA-accredited environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing clinical care across medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and preventive health for a range of species. Responsibilities include performing routine and elective procedures, developing treatment plans, delivering clear and compassionate client communication, and contributing to a supportive, fast-paced team environment. The position is open to experienced veterinarians as well as new graduates seeking structured mentorship.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped to provide wellness care, dentistry, surgery, preventive care plans, telemedicine, referral consults, and advanced diagnostics. Facilities support soft tissue procedures, hospitalization, and a full range of surgical services through an on-site surgery center. The clinic adheres to AAHA standards and performs surgeries for canine, feline, small mammal, avian, and exotic patients. Services include wellness and preventive care across life stages, diagnostic testing, digital radiography, laboratory services, ultrasound, dentistry, senior pet care, end-of-life support, allergy management, spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, and telemedicine.
Team
The hospital operates with five doctors and a team of veterinarians, technicians, and assistants working collaboratively within a supportive environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
