Introduction
Our client is a general practice veterinary hospital located in Elk Grove and serving nearby communities such as Sacramento, Galt, and Lodi. They are hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their full-service, state-of-the-art facility. The hospital sees dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and exotics. They help pets live long, healthy, and happy lives while delivering the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners. Their veterinarians, technicians, and pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards, ensuring patients receive the best in prevention and healing care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open seven days a week from 7:00am to 10:00pm. Full-time and part-time options are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include wellness and sick pet care, urgent and emergency care, surgery, hospitalization, ultrasound, dentistry, and medical boarding. The hospital provides ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, cold laser treatment and diagnostics, and hands-free radiology, with RVT overnight care for hospitalized patients. Board-certified specialists in cardiology, surgery, and ultrasonography are on-site monthly. Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship.

The facility is a full-service, state-of-the-art hospital offering ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, and dentistry. The hospital provides services including wellness, sick pet care, urgent and emergency care, surgery, hospitalization, ultrasound, dentistry, medical boarding, advanced dental care, endoscopy, soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental x-rays, radiology, health exams, spays and neuters. The hospital has served Elk Grove, Wilton, Galt, and Sacramento for over 50 years and has a fun, supportive, and cohesive team culture, with many doctors and staff having over 15 years of experience.

Team
The hospital has 10 DVMs and 23 support staff. The environment is supportive and cohesive, with students and new graduates receiving dedicated mentorship.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
