Our client is a well-established animal hospital in Dover seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their compassionate and professional team. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for companion animals and is committed to delivering world-class veterinary medicine supported by advanced technology and an experienced clinical team.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position offering flexibility to accommodate a healthy work-life balance. The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and is closed on weekends. There are no after-hours or emergency duties, allowing for consistent and predictable scheduling.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical and surgical care to a patient mix of approximately 65% sick and 35% wellness cases. Responsibilities include preventive care, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, diagnostics, and client education. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship available to support professional development. Candidates should be compassionate, collaborative, and driven to provide excellent patient care while contributing to a positive team culture.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited and Fear-Free certified hospital is equipped with modern technology including ultrasound, laser therapy, digital radiography, dental X-rays, EKG, and Tonopen. The facility offers full diagnostic capabilities, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, an isolation ward, an intensive care unit, and surgical and dental suites. Services span preventive and advanced care such as internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, dermatology, radiology, pain management, laser surgery, and oxygen and transfusion therapy. The hospital maintains a strong focus on patient comfort, client communication, and clinical excellence.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
