Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary clinic seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join their dedicated and energetic team. The practice provides care for small animals, equine, and the occasional large animal or exotic case, while maintaining a strong focus on small animal and equine medicine. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who are eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position, with emergency care forming a significant part of the caseload due to the nearest emergency facility being over two hours away.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves working with small animals, equine, and occasional large animals and exotics. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, emergency care, senior pet care, and end-of-life services. With emergency medicine playing an important role at this hospital, the position offers excellent opportunities to gain hands-on experience in urgent care. The role is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship provided to support growth and development.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, including dental radiographs, in-house laboratory analyzers for CBC, chemistry, progesterone, and cortisol, as well as ultrasound and equine stocks. ClienTrax software with remote access supports charting from home. The practice culture is collaborative, hardworking, and team-oriented, with a strong emphasis on providing affordable, high-quality medicine to the community.

The hospital has three DVMs supported by a skilled team. The environment is communicative and supportive, with mentorship and professional development encouraged to help veterinarians at all stages of their careers succeed.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
