Introduction
Our client is an established AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its expanding team. This small animal and exotic practice cares for dogs, cats, rabbits, and pocket pets and is looking to grow from a two-doctor team to three. The hospital offers a collaborative environment with a strong focus on mentorship, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday from 7:30am to 6:30pm, Tuesday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. It is closed on Sundays. The role can be structured as full-time or part-time, with no after-hours or on-call responsibilities, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a wide range of clinical care including wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, and internal medicine. Services also extend to areas such as reproductive care, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, allergy management, geriatric medicine, and pain management. Daily responsibilities include performing examinations, interpreting diagnostics, developing treatment plans, conducting surgical and dental procedures, and educating clients on preventative and ongoing care. The role is open to experienced veterinarians as well as new graduates, who will benefit from structured mentorship.

Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped with advanced technology and facilities, including digital radiology, dental X-rays, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, video otoscopy, intensive care, isolation ward, oxygen and transfusion therapy, and an in-office surgical suite. Additional services include grooming and boarding. The hospital provides a wide range of medical and surgical services such as orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, laser surgery, PennHIP evaluations, OFA X-rays, preventive care programs, reproductive services, and comprehensive wellness packages for all life stages. As an AAHA-accredited facility, the hospital upholds high standards of patient care and client service.

Team
The practice is currently home to one DVM with plans to grow to three veterinarians, supported by a dedicated team of veterinary professionals. The culture is collaborative, mentoring-focused, and designed to support both professional development and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
