General Practice Veterinarian (Associate Veterinarian)

Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited and Fear Free certified small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their established and compassionate team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a collaborative environment focused on high-quality care and strong client relationships.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with no Sunday hours. The position is considered full-time at 30 hours per week and offers flexibility with either a three- or four-day schedule. A rotating Saturday shift is part of the rota, providing a balanced approach to work-life scheduling.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional client service. Duties include general medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and wellness services. The role involves maintaining accurate medical records, engaging in client communications, supporting practice protocols, and participating in ongoing hospital initiatives. There is also an opportunity to train or manage support staff as needed. The position is open to experienced veterinarians who are comfortable with leadership responsibilities and mentoring within the clinical team.

Practice Details
The hospital features modern equipment including anesthesia monitoring, digital radiography, ultrasound, and a fully equipped surgical and dental suite. Additional services offered include endoscopy, tonometry, dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, diagnostic lab work, specialist referrals, grooming, therapies, and comprehensive wellness and preventive care. Team
The team includes three DVMs supported by a group of experienced veterinary assistants and technicians. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and mentorship-driven, with a shared commitment to delivering exceptional care and maintaining a welcoming workplace culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
