Our client is a veterinary hospital group hiring for a Regional Medical Director to oversee operations across Kansas. This role is designed for a veterinarian with strong leadership experience in multi-site hospital management, who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and maintaining the highest standards of care. The position supports both general and surgical practices treating small animals.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time leadership role with responsibilities spanning multiple locations. While standard business hours will apply, the position requires flexibility to accommodate travel and on-site needs across the assigned territory. Specific weekly scheduling is not provided but will be structured to allow appropriate oversight of hospital teams and regional operations.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Regional Medical Director will lead veterinary teams in upholding high standards of medical care, ensuring consistent practices across all hospitals. Responsibilities include mentoring DVMs, developing clinical protocols, reviewing medical proficiency and performance, and leading quarterly and monthly team evaluations. This role also includes overseeing intern and extern programs, maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies, and assisting with equipment prioritization and scheduling coordination. Candidates should have experience managing veterinary hospitals, preferably across multiple sites, and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Practice Details
The hospital group emphasizes a commitment to best practices, team collaboration, and continuous professional development. The role includes representation at veterinary colleges and the supervision of training programs. Support structures are in place for professional growth, clinical autonomy, and operational efficiency.

Team
The successful candidate will work closely with Regional Operations Directors, hospital managers, and DVM teams to foster an environment of medical excellence and mentorship. They will be responsible for the recruitment and development of veterinary leaders, supporting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and ongoing improvement across their assigned hospitals.
